Nikki Thompson currently serves as an Associate Director for the Office of Policy and Legislative Affairs, joining the office in June 2017.

Prior to, Nikki served as the Special Assistant to the President of a legal services non-profit, located in Washington, DC. In this role, she assisted in several policy areas, including criminal justice reform, voting rights, fair housing, and economic justice. Her experience also includes serving as a staffer for Senator Chris Van Hollen of Maryland, where she worked on similar issues. Prior to, Nikki worked in government affairs and policy for a private firm and the federal government. In 2016, she was named one of the “DMV Top 30 under 30,” and is a proud graduate of Howard University School of Law (JD, 2015) and the University of Florida (BS in Journalism, 2012). Additionally, Nikki was admitted to practice law in Georgia and is a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc.
