Policy Analyst, Office of Policy & Legislative Affairs

Deborah George Johnson, serves as the Policy Analyst of the Office of Policy and Legislative Affairs (OPLA) for the Executive Office of the Mayor. Ms. George Johnson has previously worked for both the Fenty and Gray Administrations and brings governmental relations experience, having worked with both the legislative and the executive branches of the government.

Prior to her transition to OPLA, she worked for the Council of the District of Columbia as a legislative specialist for over 20 years. That experience has allowed her to help quickly analyze and streamline the processes for previous administrations as well as the Bowser Administration, and offer fresh and innovative ideas to help the District of Columbia continue to thrive.
