
Associate Director, Office of Federal and Regional Affairs
Robin Rubin serves as the Associate Director in the Office of Federal and Regionals Affairs focusing on Transportation & Infrastructure, Agriculture, and Tax.
Most recently, Robin was the Director of Government Relations & Associate Director of the Philanthropy Practice at Van Scoyoc Associates (VSA), a DC-based government affairs firm. In this role, Robin educated policymakers about the critical and innovative work foundations are doing across the country, as well as how the tax code effects charitable giving. As part of her work, Robin managed the federal relations strategy for the Community Foundation Public Awareness Initiative, a coalition of more than 125 community foundations in 48 states, including the District of Columbia.
Prior to joining VSA, Robin worked at Jewish Women International (JWI) where she partnered with allied organizations, Congress, and the Obama Administration to advance a robust women's advocacy agenda on issues including domestic violence, gun safety, women's health, and economic security. While at JWI, Robin founded the Brother to Brother program to bring young men and college students to Capitol Hill to lobby for better policies to combat sexual assault on college campuses.
In 2008, Robin joined then Senator Barack Obama’s campaign for president, running field operations in Pennsylvania, West Virginia, Kentucky, Illinois and Florida. After the election, she was appointed Special Assistant to the Agency Review department on the Presidential Transition Team.
Robin graduated from Penn State University with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science.
