Director, Office of Legislative Support, Office of Policy & Legislative Affairs

Lolita Alston currently serves as the Director of the Office of Legislative Support in the Executive Office of the Mayor. She has served in this capacity since 2006, during Williams’ administration. Prior, to becoming the director, Ms. Alston began her career as a legislative analyst. She has over 20 years of legislative and management experience. Prior to joining the Executive Office of the Mayor, she worked for over a decade with the District of Columbia City Council. Before her career with the DC government, she held several positions with the Department of Defense. Ms. Alston’s experience includes the legislative, executive and branches of the federal government.
