
Deputy Director, Office of Policy and Legislative Affairs
Bryan Hum serves as Deputy Director of the Office of Policy and Legislative Affairs (OPLA) for the Executive Office of the Mayor.
Prior the joining the Bowser Administration, Mr. Hum was a Senior Policy Associate with The ERISA Industry Committee (ERIC), the only national association that advocates exclusively for large employers on health, retirement, and compensation public policies at the federal, state and local levels. At ERIC, Bryan oversaw and directed advocacy efforts for paid leave and retirement policies at the state and local levels. Prior to ERIC, Bryan served as a Legislative Analyst Fellow with Monument Advocacy, a bipartisan government relations firm here in Washington. As a fellow, he worked on issues ranging from healthcare to technology to workforce development.
Mr. Hum earned Bachelor of Arts degrees in Political Science and International Studies from North Carolina State University, and a Juris Doctor from Albany Law School. He is a licensed attorney in the State of New York.
